Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be test-fitting the Inno Fork Lock III Roof Bike Rack, part number INA391. Contrary to the title, this does not fit three bikes. It grips your bike at two points. We'll have a rear wheel strap, which is adjustable to length of the back rack, to accommodate for bikes of different sizes, and we'll have this fork mount up at the front, which will hold it with this skewer. Now notice that there is no frame contact once you attach this to your bike rack, which is good for carbon fiber bikes. Once you have it tightened down with the skewer mount here, it is covered with this plastic cover here, which is lockable. So not only is your bike secured to your bike rack, but your bike rack is secured to your roof rack, as well.Unfortunately, with the length of the bike rack, we are going to make contact with our hash, should we try to open it.
So keep that in mind. Next we'll go ahead and take off the bike. To do that, we'll push this tab at the top here in to release the strap, like so. Then at the front, we'll open up our plastic cover here. You can see the lock on the top of it there.
Then we'll open up our skewer mount by pulling out that handle and grabbing our bike. How this is held into place, at the rear, we'll have this plastic bracket and two turn-knobs to tighten it down. These are adjustable as well for varying cross-bar spreads. Right now we have it around square bars, but this will also work with round, elliptical, arrow, as well as most factory roof racks as well. At the front, we'll have a clamp, which is held into place by this portion up top. Put that down and that'll tighten it up.There you have it for the Inno Fork Lock III Roof Bike Rack, on our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Here it is on our test course. We'll start by going through the slalom. This is going to show us the side-to-side action, which simulates turning corners or evasive maneuvers.Next we're at the alternating speed bumps, which we'll see the twisting action. This will simulate hitting a curb or pothole, or driving over uneven pavement. Finally, we have the full speed bumps, where we'll see the up and down action, which is just like driving out of a parking lot, garage, or driveway..
