Cleveland weather forecast for Thursday, February 16, 2023.
Northeast Ohio start your engines! It now appears the kiss of spring yesterday, is all but a distant memory for many, but not all.
The axis of seasons carves a path across our area with warmer conditions south and colder weather lakeside. This area of low pressure is expected to bring periods of moderate rain with some periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms possible. We remain under cloud cover for the most part with a few breaks possible this afternoon.
A ridge remains persistent even in the early afternoon Thursday with the eastern half of the country warm and the west coast experiencing temperatures colder than even Cleveland, ie Las Vegas.
Conditions continue to settle into the mid to low 30s overnight with any lingering precipitation threatening a rain-snow mix to eventual lake effect streams Friday. A trough settles south with a northerly wind that will cause temperatures to remain on the freezing side of things. However, high pressure returns for a nice chunk of the weekend with a modest warm up. Therafter, we remain mainly stable through Presidents' Day Monday
Here is your 3-day Cleveland weather forecast.
TONIGHT | Rain and storms. Mid 40s.
FRIDAY | Colder with snow chances. Much colder. Low 30s.
SATURDAY | Mostly sunny skies return. Warmer. Mid 40s.
