Deadly floods have battered the South American country - Brazil. Heavy rainfall has wreaked havoc and brought life to a standstill. Over 100 people have lost their lives and 100,000 homes have been destroyed. Storms have affected 385 municipalities in Rio Grande Do Sul state. Porto Alegre's Gremio soccer club stadium also turned into a muddy pool.
Amidst severe flooding, a horse trapped on a rooftop for two days was saved by rescuers. This brought a ray of hope to the beleaguered region.
