Jubilee Class No 45690 Leander speeds up the Long Drag hauling The Cumbrian Mountain Express for VTL. With a wary eye out for Storm Brian, I was assuring my Belgian visitors that they would get a marvellous view of a steam hauled train on Batty Moss Viaduct, instead, we encountered a train nearly 20 minutes ahead of the timings, a squall bucketing off Ingleborough and soggy ground. So we jumped out the car and I pitched the tripod in the soggy peat and hoped for a decent shot considering this is the last northbound special of the year. It's Ok but we could have found a bit of shelter if it had been running to the published times! My Belgian friends thought it was very good! Enjoy!
