The Siddi (pronounced [sɪd̪d̪iː]), also known as Sidi, Siddhi, Sheedi or Habshi, is an ethnic group inhabiting India..The Siddi community is currently estimated at around 50,000–60,000 individuals, with Karnataka, Gujarat and Hyderabad in India...The first Siddis are thought to have arrived in India in 628 AD at the Bharuch port.Siddis also live around Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife sanctuary...These include the Goma music and dance form, which is sometimes called Dhamaal (Gujarati: ધમાલ, fun).
