This tutorial shows how to make a stunning pair of Amethyst earrings. There are numerous variations one could do here, so have fun experimenting! I would categorize these as intermediate level. I used 9x11 mm oval Amethysts and 5x11 mm pear shaped stones as well. The materials for these can vary, but for these ones, I used 20 gauge sterling round wire, 16 gauge sterling round wire, 22 gauge sterling sheet, 14 gauge sterling square wire, and 1/4 inch fine silver bezel strip in 28 gauge. I also used some scrap 18 gauge round to make some silver balls. As always, I use hard silver sheet solder and My-T-Flux from Rio Grande.
