Following he successfully embarked the One Show's rickshaw challenge for BBC Children in Need in 2011, Matt Baker came up with a brilliant idea of creating a team of youngsters, all of whom have been either supported by or still are supported by BBC Children in Need-funded projects to take on the challenge. Team Rickshaw 2012 made up of six young riders - Darren, James, Jack, Jamila, Lauren and Ciaren peddle 411 miles rickshaw challenge from Llandudno to London BBC Television Centre in 8 days to help raise vital funds for the disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. On Day One 9 November 2012, the team accompanied by Matt Baker set off their epic journey from Llandudno in the morning to cross the finishing line at Dolgellau while the One Show is live on air.
