Tip 1 # Quality of your reps will always be better than just going thru the motions.
Tip # 2 Training each muscle twice a week will lead to more muscle gains, but if you are limited on time do what you can results will happen as long as you stay consistent.
Tip # 3 Make time to hit each muscle more frequently even if you don't train each muscle twice a week
Tip # 4 To gain muscle mass you have to be in a caloric surplus which means if your not eating enough calories you will not grow gaining at least 1 to 2lbs a month is best.
Tip # 5 Compound movements these are the best exercises you can do in your workouts. Squats, bench press, deadlift, overhead press, bent over rows are the king exercises of building muscle
Tip #6 Patience you really have to be really patient in this process like most of us you will lose your patience, But try to do your research and learn from others mistakes.
