Join us on our first behind-the-scenes series, following our Traverse documentary crew on the making of Midnight Monument, the inside story about Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalante. In this episode, we take a bumpy 6-hour flight over the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument to capture the remote landscapes that have lost their protected status.
We are beyond thrilled to share our adventures over the last 5 years making this feature film. We love making films for those who love the outdoors and to inspire adventure. The series begins with the Traverse documentary crew traveling to Southern Utah to work on uncovering the real, and untold story of why our two national monuments have almost been erased from the map entirely.
A film that has endured every possible hurdle, and even a pandemic, now in 2024 we are excited to finally release Midnight Monument.
Traverse (Traverse Cinema Studio) is an independent documentary film studio based out of the Colorado Rockies. Midnight Monument is the story of six seemingly opposing ways of life told through one unifying conversation about protecting the American West for generations to come. Told through the reduction of two of our National Monuments; Grand Staircase Escalante and Bears Ears.
A feature-length documentary film being produced by Traverse Cinema Studio & Directed by Thomas Kolicko about the importance of protecting the soul of our public lands.
Special thanks to Lighthawk for providing our flight.
