Video footage showed Israeli forces evacuating the dead and wounded from Lebanon following clashes with Hezbollah.
The Israeli army said in a statement on Wednesday that eight of its soldiers had been killed by Hezbollah. Hezbollah said in a statement that they had confronted and clashed with Israeli forces who had infiltrated Lebanese towns near the border with Israel.
