Léo Marillier, second violinist with the Quatuor Diotima, joined the Library's David Plylar for a discussion about Diotima's programs at the Library. Capping a week of rehearsal with the Library's Stradivari instruments, Diotima gave two concerts in honor of the sesquicentennial of Arnold Schoenberg's birth. The discussion centers on the principal works performed, including four Schoenberg quartets, Alban Berg's Lyric Suite, and Erich Korngold's third string quartet, all of which are held in full or in part in holograph manuscripts at the Library. The quartet's experience working with the Library???s instruments was also explored.
