Umbro is not a brand that we talk about all that much anymore, and that's a shame. Because it wasn't that long ago when they were making some top quality football boots! With their latest model being the Umbro Velocita Alchemist Pro, a fully knitted "speed", that retails for the same $250 as some of the most popular boots on the market from Nike and Adidas. This of course begs the question, are they anywhere near as good?
Well, no. Not even close actually. Which sucks, because I'd really like to see Umbro make a comeback, however, the Alchemist will not be "that boot" for them. We discuss why that is, and where I think the latest version of the Velocita is lacking, helping you decide whether or not you should be keeping Umbro on your football boot radar as we head into 2023.
