Carp - 1.8 kg
Salt - to taste
Black pepper - to taste

Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
Onions - 2, sliced
Mayonnaise - ¼ cup
Tomatoes - 2, sliced
Sweet peppers - 3, sliced
Green onions - garnish
PERSONAL NOTE ✒️
Koktal is a popular fish preparation that uses a smoking process. Traditionally, the fish is cooked in a particular iron smoker, called a koktal box. I don't have one of those, so I used a conventional oven instead - it was delicious. Usually, koktal is prepared with a more massive freshwater carp (at least 4 kg). However, I decided to use a smaller carp - enough for my family and easier handling. Please be careful with cutting and washing the fish. Other than that, this dish is straightforward. I love fish cooking, and I was pleasantly surprised with this dish; very tasty and delicious - 😋 Highly recommend!
