The Covid-19 pandemic has shown the importance of scientific knowledge in Life Sciences and Biotechnology to give an adequate response to this type of Health crisis. Diagnose infected patients, compile epidemiologic data and develop a vaccine. This is only possible due to Biotechnology.

Hence, P-BIO developed a strategical plan based on investment in Life Sciences and Biotechnology to position Portugal as a Research and Development center and as a strategic pillar for the production capacity in the EU, reinforcing EU’s autonomy and resilience to disruptions in global distribution chains.
