The BJP and the Shiv Sena on Monday announced an alliance between the two parties for both the Lok Sabha and Maharashtra State Assembly elections. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has asked why the central government didn't take any action before the Pulwama attack despite inputs from intelligence agencies on February 8 that such attacks might happen before elections. Criticising the Centre over the attack, she asked, "Why 78 convoys were still allowed?" She said she has intelligence reports that her phone is "always taped".

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday alleged that her phone is being tapped by intelligence agencies. She added, "I'm telling you officially that I've evidence of it and I'll place it before you at the right time." Mamata also accused RSS and others of hatching conspiracy in the wake of Pulwama attack to create division in the country.

Union Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday criticised Pakistan over the Pulwama attack saying the country was patronising terrorism in Kashmir. Addressing a rally in Odisha, he added that the attack was an act of frustration as Indian forces carried out anti-terrorism operations successfully in the past five years. He said the sacrifice of the CRPF jawans wouldn't go in vain.
