now this is lindley st stephens church which is the last striking contest band this was the last one before going to almondbury church to ring then tea meeting there then last one was huddersfield st peters in the bottom of huddersfield town accross the road by the packhorse arcades now when you go up the huddersfield st peters spirral staircase the walls are so old and crumbling away its to do with the wet damp weather thats been spoiling in then it makes the steps a mess all dusty and full of muck but the 10 bells are very very nice to ring 1 and 2 the smallest bells are on the top floor then the other 8 are on the bottom floor if your not sure about our bells its on my youtube channel not every church has a book on about the history on the bells ok we practice tuesday eves 7 30 till 9 pm but the church moves from side to side when ringing all 10 bells 1 2 and 3 are quiet close together this is for other bellringers from other towers a long long way to a visiting band away yes we have got 4 white clock faces and a westminster chimes every full hours and quarters which chimes on 4 5 6 and the 9th bell full chiming full hours quarters then strikes the hours on the 10th bell for the number of hours no sorry we dont have carrillon that plays tunes not here by stuart mills so if you all bellringers from a long long way down south or any where else all the imfomation about huddersfield st peters bells and clock chimes are listed here go to my youtube chanel stuart mills scroll down to my video channel on one of the lindley church bells channel its near the bottom it will tell you all yes the 10 bells are taylors of loughbrough which came in 1910 to huddersfield st peters church by stuart mills enjoye
