We’re hitting the road in a couple of cool customs by legendary designer, Chip Foose. First up, a car we could not wait to find out more about. The Grand Master is a stunning 1935 Chevy Master Deluxe Sedan that has been overhauled into a 2-Door masterpiece. From the bodylines, to the interior, to the engine work, this is one grand Street Rod. Of course, we had to find out if it drives as nice as it looks, and that Corvette LT4 Grand Sport motor did not disappoint. You’ve got to see this Ridler Award Winning show car in motion!
Then it’s a 1954 Chevy Bel Air that has been reworked into one cool Custom. “Cool Air” is subtly modified in design, but has been majorly upgraded underneath. Pushing about 530HP, the 6L Chevy truck motor bored out and converted into a high performance 427 is the real showstopper for this beautiful Bel Air. Cool Air is a powerful machine and was built to be driven, so Dennis really has some fun behind the wheel of this baby.
Special thanks to Wes Rydell and Doug Peterson for letting us check out these incredible Chip Foose Customs. With so much automotive acclaim involved in these rides, this is certainly a special episode of My Classic Car.
