Premier League referee David Coote has been suspended by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) following the emergence of a video in which he makes derogatory remarks about former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp. In the video, Coote refers to Klopp using offensive language, calling him a "German c***" and describing him as "f****** arrogant." The Football Association (FA) has also launched its own investigation into Coote's conduct, highlighting the seriousness of the allegations. The FA's inquiry aims to determine whether Coote's comments constitute a breach of conduct and to assess the broader implications for referee behavior and accountability.
Adding to the controversy, another video has surfaced allegedly showing Coote snorting a white powder during the Euro 2024 tournament. This footage reportedly depicts Coote in his UEFA-funded hotel room, raising further questions about his conduct and the oversight of referees during major tournaments
