Madeleine | Eggless Madeleine recipe | French Butter Cookie Cakes | Scallop Madeleines
Madeleines are petite French cakes, that are cookie sized. These delicate cakes are buttery, soft on the inside and crisp on the outside, with a citrus punch. They’re classically identified in two different forms - shell or scallop shaped. The former is the most common and requires lesser time to bake. Being intrigued with the latter, I preferred to bake the scalloped ones.
It isn’t as difficult to make as it looks. All that matters is the right consistency!
They’re eggless and perfectly fits the breakfast menu or for an evening snack. And, a perfect accompaniment for a cuppa tea / coffee.
🥣 Ingredients:
¾ cup Plain Flour
⅓ Almond Flour
¼ tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Powder
⅓ cup Brown Sugar
1 tbsp Lemon Zest
½ cup Milk
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 tbsp Melted Butter
