[ Ссылка ] Dallas is my evil twin brother in Canada. Every few years I fly over to ride with him and his pack of reprobates. And every month we get online to talk about motorbikes and life. Our favourite recent topic? Death. Need hard enduro training? Work through our video lists. Parents are succumbing to various diseases. People we know are doing the lethal dance with heart problems or cancer. And I had to help with CPR on a recent ride where a guy died. Most of our conversations end with 'We should do a video about this!' So we did. It's over to Dallas... Hard enduro techniques are covered in our training vids. If only I had a dollar for every time someone has said to me 'those motorbikes are dangerous, you'll get seriously hurt one day. You might even get killed'. If you are enduro riding get into our enduro training vids. Our dirt riding tips are great for developing your hard enduro skills. They started saying it the first time I jumped on a bike as a kid, they are especially saying it now that I'm in my fifties. Into enduro and dirt bikes? Check out our dirt bike videos. Extreme enduro training vids are our focus. Well I have been seriously hurt a few times and I'm sure the shit will hit the fan again in the future. And maybe I will die out in the forest one day. I'm sure it won't be fun but at least I'll die doing what I love. Chance are though, the joints and tendons will just get worse, riding will get harder, and maybe one day I'll just have to stop riding. But no way will I be selling my bikes, they will be like trophies sitting in the garage. Or maybe even hanging on the wall if I can convince my better half that they'll make good wall art. And much more than just the riding. I mean the riding is great, whether it's play racing with your equally unskilled buddies, admiring the scenery, or just offloading a pile of stress from the working week. I've met the best people through motorbikes, and often the camaraderie is even better than the riding. So it's fine when people don't understand, even when they say it's time to grow up, sell my toys and stop taking stupid risks. And next time I break a bone and they say I told you so, I know my idiotic grin willl only get them more frustrated. There's a saying from one of those ancient Greek philosophers: Man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play. And man, I never want my inner child to die. The adventure... continues.
So there you have it. Our antidote to death is don't grow up. Or at least don't become emotionally mature too soon. And of course, ride more. Life behind bars...
