Today I'm going to show you how to install a stainless steel cable tie with a hand tool.

So the first step in installing a cable tie is to make sure you're selecting the right tool. So I have a GS4MT-E here with me and I'm using a heavy tie, so based on the tension setting suggestions it should be 5 through 8. I already have it on the 8 setting just in case you're needing to change it, you pull down the knob and rotate it clockwise or counter-clockwise.

So next, I'm gonna thread the tie by hand.

Make sure it's a little tight but I can finish of the rest of that tension with the hand tool and automatically cut. And after that cut, the tie is gonna go retract back into the head a little bit and leave a nice flush cut-off.
