Bengal cuisine has a special place for yogurt in their lives and this recipe is one good example.
BHAPADOI
Ingredients
1 cup yogurt
1 cup condensed milk
¼ cup milk
6-8 almonds, blanched, peeled and slivered
8-10 pistachios, blanched, peeled and slivered
Method
1. Take yogurt in a large bowl, add condensed milk. Add milk and whisk till well combined. Add almonds and pistachios and mix well.
2. Heat sufficient water in a steamer.
3. Transfer the prepared mixture into small individual earthen pots and sprinkle pistachios on top. Cover with aluminium foil.
4. Place the pots in the steamer and steam for 15-20 minutes. Take them out of the steamer and refrigerate till chilled.
5. Serve chilled.
