Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe says flaws in the
disbursement of the Social Relief of Distress Grant have been
identified.
Last month, she requested 30 days to conduct thorough probes on
allegations made by two Stellenbosch University students that the
Covid-19 SRD grant was vulnerable to identity theft.
Institute For Economic Justices Siyanda Baduza says the department
needs to act with urgency.
