MOBILE, Ala (WPMI) Mobile police are warning of a phone scam that is taking place in our area.
Police say a person claiming to be a representative of the police department is calling residents and stating they have unpaid tickets.
The caller will then threaten an arrest if the tickets are never paid.
Mobile police tell Local 15 they will never solicit payments over the phone.
