In a significant move for peace in Manipur, Chief Minister Biren Singh announced that newly recruited police cadets from the Meitei, Kuki, and Naga communities will work together as a unified team. This initiative aims to bridge divides and foster harmony within the state. Around 2,000 recruits from these communities completed their training at a police academy in Assam. Singh highlighted that the divisions within the police forces emerged due to current unrest, but emphasized that the cadets trained together and should continue collaborating to restore peace in Manipur.
