Keeping with our recent Roman theme we ventured to Saalburg, a fort on the frontier of the Roman Empire. Saalburg was first build in 90AD but the current site was rebuilt 100 years ago after the foundations were discovered. At the edge of the Limes, Saalburg was at the furthest point of the Roman Empire in Germany.

Tickets cost €7 for an adult and it is definitely worth a visit if you like your history like we do.
