As the ongoing fuel price onslaught continues, there has been no respite from mehengai for the common man. Domestic retail fuel prices were hiked for the 8th time in the last nine days. Petrol and diesel prices were each increased by 80 paise per liter. This 8th increase in fuel prices in nine days has taken the total hike to Rs. 5.60 per liter. In Mumbai, diesel prices have crossed the Rs. 100 mark. Among the metro cities, fuel rates are still the highest in Mumbai. Meanwhile, domestic gas prices are also set to double once the April 1 revision kicks in. Will more price hikes follow?
