Yesterday, federal judge Steven Logan pushed back Arizona’s voter registration deadline to October 23, instead of October 5. This decision is a result of limited internet access to register online, and safety precautions from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although people have more time to register now, those who are already registered may be asking, what’s next?
For absentee voters, ballots are being sent out on October 7, and should be sent back in through the mail by October 27. Another option is to drop off the ballot in person at one of the drop off locations throughout northern Arizona. For in person voters, early voting starts October 7, and all voting locations will be open on election day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. To be counted, all ballots must be cast by November 3 at 7 p.m. For a full list of ballot drop off locations, early voting places, and polling locations, visit coconino.az.gov/elections.
