Coming from races where the list of mandatory kit is usually extensive to this race, where you aren't even aloud carry your own water, was a breath of fresh air. Of course what that means is that this race is hard, oh so hard, and fast. I really enjoyed the purity of it and could not have imagined I would come away with a team silver medal for Ireland. I tip my hat to Tom and Trisha Blackburn and all those who were involved in bringing this global event to a rural town in the South East of Ireland.
