.52, one of the meta weapons in Splatoon 2, has its reincarnation in Splatoon 3, with a notable difference in special weapon. its Booyah bomb is replaced by the new special Killer Wail 5.1, which seems to be a slight nerf but does give it a fresh twist. Killer Wail 5.1 shoots 3 sets of 2 rays at opponents and move horizontally for a bit, which is less concentrated than booyah bomb but reaches farther. It also doesn't need careful aiming to maximize its effect. About the .52 itself, somehow I feels that its firing rate is increased, and the 2-shot kill almost feels like a 1-shot kill. It performs well even in turf war which is a less favorable mode for it. I can see it remains a meta weapon in Splatoon 3.
