A French police officer was stabbed to death inside her police station in the south-west of Paris. Her attacker was shot and killed by officers at the scene. The attacker, who reportedly came to France from Tunisia several years ago. President Emmanuel Macron led tributes to the 49-year-old victim, and said France would never give in to "Islamist terrorism". The stabbing took place at the entrance of the police station in the commuter town of Rambouillet.
