The Country Goods Yard (2020)
Filmed at present day Quorn & Woodhouse station, 'The Country Goods Yard' is a short amateur film which aims to showcase the role that small railway goods yards had to play in the movement of goods in the days before good road transport.
Based on the British Transport Films of Edgar Ansty, and features volunteers from both Quorn station and Quorn Wagon and Wagon. This is a foray into the production of a larger film 'This is Quorn', which will aim to tell the complete story of life at Quorn & Woodhouse in the early 1950s as we understand it.
Some scenes were filmed prior to the current lockdown restrictions back in March, and remaning clips were filmed taking into consideration current social distancing guidelines.
