This patient is undergoing a #deepplanefacelift . In a properly executed #facelift, the retaining ligaments of the face are incised. This allows fluid, easy movement of the facial tissues. The facial tissues cannot be
adequately repositioned if you do not release these retaining ligaments. Most of the #revisionfacelift that I see is where these ligaments are not adequately released. This results in a windswept look, poor scar
formation, and inadequate midface elevation.
