I borrowed a Leo MV from Elevate Outdoors the other week in order to try it out in some late season surf here in Port Angeles.
Initial impressions:
- It planes incredibly well for hull with no planing chines.
- Its strong rocker profile makes it very maneuverable for a 16 foot boat.
- The Kayak is surprisingly stable for having a 22" beam width.
- It is much faster than the Virgo and Delphin
- For an MV the fit is smaller than the Virgo MV and larger than the Delphin 150.
- I am 6'1" 180 lbs size 10 bootie and while it handled my weight just fine, I prefer more of an upright leg position for a rough water sea kayak.
