Indian indices opened on higher on today amid mixed global cues.
At 09:16 hrs IST, the Sensex was up 131.76 points or 0.21% at 62,757.39, and the Nifty was up 37.10 points or 0.20% at 18,600.50. About 1592 shares advanced, 626 shares declined, and 151 shares unchanged.
BPCL, SBI Life Insurance, Tata Motors, Infosys and HDFC Life were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Divis Labs, ONGC, Power Grid Corp, IndusInd Bank and Axis Bank.
