Key figures in the political scandal involving President Park Geun-hye and her confidante Choi Soon-sil... have been indicted on charges ranging from abuse of authority to embezzlement.
Prosecutors said Cha Eun-taek..., a director who dominated the ad market by allegedly manipulating the country's conglomerates with Choi, will now stand trial for pocketing profits.
Cha and former Korea Creative Content Agency CEO Song Sung-gak... have both been charged with coercing an ad agency into relinquishing its shares for their own benefit.
Cha is accused of pocketing more than 850-thousand dollars at one of his ad firms... and Song for embezzling around 31-and-a-half-thousand dollars from another ad agency.
