In the Brackeys challenge you have to make a game in only 10 minutes. In this devlog, I will show you how I made a game in 10 minutes.
If you have to make a game in a short period of time (like 10 minutes), you can't really create something big so you have to think small. For me, this meant that I should create a small game with simple graphics, so for the whole graphics, I used only a circle.
About the game: it's a simple shooting game where you have to hit the targets (the circles), as many as you can. If you miss one, you lose.
Luckily I was able to finish the game in this 10-minute time period (btw I used Unity to create the game itself), but that wasn't enough for me. After the 10 minute challenge, I polished the game a little bit. I improved the visuals by changing the target image, using nicer texts, and randomizing the background colour. I made some screen shake and also changed the mouse cursor.
If you want to check out the game and play it yourself you can do so by downloading it from itch.
