The cloud is short for cloud computing which simply means that data is stored and accessed through internet programmes instead of your computer's hard drive. PaaS is a cloud platform service that provides cloud components to certain software while being mainly used for applications. Essentially, PaaS lets developers build and create customised apps. Servers and storage can be managed by third-party providers while the developers can manage the apps.
