DIY parking brake adjustment on a jeep srt with #moparbro fred_eazy21

Adjusting the emergency brake on a Jeep srt8 is fairly simple,

1. Place rear of the jeep on jack stands with the front wheel blocked.
2. Start the jeep and put it in neutral then shut it off.
3. Remove wheel and located adjustment screw plug.
4. Remove plug and use a flat head screwdriver to spin the gear until the parking shoes only slightly drag on the rotor hat.
5. Back off gear 1-2 more clicks until parking brake shoes don't touch the rotor hat while spinning.
6. Alternatively you can remove the brake caliper and rotor to expose the parking brake system and adjust from there.
7. Repeat on the other side and test parking brake before throw the wheels back on.

Pretty easy on the brembo brake system , I forgot to adjust them after installing new brake pads & rotors and they were screeching lol
