China is preparing for a mass COVID-19 vaccination campaign ahead of Chinese New Year. 50 million people in high-priority groups are expected to be inoculated before the holiday travel season in February. First in line to get their shots will be healthcare workers, police officers, border control officials and cargo handlers. China has given emergency approval to three COVID-19 vaccines by local firms, but results of late-stage trials have not been published yet.
