This video is meant to address the confusion among cassette multitracker owners who bought their unit with no manual regarding whether and when to turn the noose reduction system on their portastudio on and off. A lot of folks don't realise its a two part process, which must be on during tracking AND mixing, Or if you prefer the pros and cons of leaving the noise reduction off (usually more high end but louder hiss, but that is a topic for another video) the noise reduction must be OFF during BOTH recording AND playback.
