Today’s video is a bit of a part 2 to another video which I uploaded previously called Tips for starting a Primary Teaching Degree at Uni: [ Ссылка ]
Today We’re going to be focusing on placement and my advice for how to make the most out of your teaching placements as trainee teacher - as well as some things I wish I had done as a student teacher on placement!
1. Buy a planner- I wish I’d organised my time better.
2. I wish I had made less of my own resources. Work smarter not harder.
3. Buy a separate placement pendrive solely for use on placement. “Steal” everything you can!
4. Kept a placement diary/blog.
5. Teaching Instagram/Twitter.
6. Experiment now! Use your initiative and try to take on as much responsibility as you can
7. Push yourself out of your comfort zone
8. Keep a hold of resources and lesson plans to reuse in the future.
9. Do lots of CPD!
10. Keep note of trainings completed
11. Make a memory scrapbook
12. Build Networks
13. Enjoy the experience. Try to figure out the type of teacher you want to be. Be inspired!
