The Australian National Maritime Museum’s Maritime Archaeologist Kieran Hosty says the whole story of Captain Cook’s ship HMS Endeavour is “very strange”.

Mr Hosty spoke to Sky News host Chris Kenny about how the historic ship was sold by the British Royal Navy to private owners before it sunk in 1778 in Newport Harbour, Rhode Island.

Debate amongst researchers remains ongoing over whether the recently discovered shipwreck is, in fact, the HMS Endeavour.
