Nestled away on Vancouver Island is the not-so-hidden gem of the Cumberland mountain biking trail network. It has seen a boom in growth in the past few years, and even a migration of ex- Whistler residents who have been lured in by something special.
Cumberland is where I fell in love with mountain biking, so I am a little biased. But maybe after you watch this video, you'll decide to go ride there yourself... and maybe after you ride there, you'll start to see the "something special" that makes Cumberland so great. From enjoying the technical rock slabs, to the freeride drops and jumps, and even the flowy berms - Cumberland truly is a global mountain biking destination.

***DISCLAIMER - I changed some camera settings right before this trip, and I'm not super happy with how the footage turned out. The stabilization didn't quite keep up anytime the light got even slightly low, and you'll probably see that in certain parts of the video. I actually excluded some of my favorite segments of trail from this video because the footage was just too shaky and grainy. This will affect my next video too, which was shot on the same trip. The good news is that I've gone back to my old settings and future videos should be better. Thanks!***
