Grandpa and I got a chance to tour a massive collection of Caterpillar Dozers and a bunch of tractors. The owner of this collection chose to remain unnamed, and his location unannounced. His collection ranged from John Deere Lindeman crawlers all the way up to huge D9 Caterpillars. He also had quite a few Allis Chalmer dozers scattered through his collection. The Allis that caught my attention, having a love for Detroits, was an Allis Chalmer HD-20 with a 6-110 Detroit Diesel. The owner said it was a screamer, and having a little experience with Detroits, I believe him! Another interesting dozer was the Eimco. This Vietnam era dozer was powered by a 6V-71 Detroit, and came with an owners manual that showed where to place explosives if they were taken over by the enemy and they needed to ruin the dozer so they couldn't use it. Throughout his property he had a number of 5010 and 5020 Wheatlands, a variety of International Wheatlands, and more D8 dozers in one shed than I have seen in my life. It was a great day, and I am glad we made it out to his place.
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed!
