Tree furniture
In many countries, trees are cut down to make beds and various types of furniture from their wood. However, in Taiwan, different items are made from trees in a very beautiful and unique way without cutting them down. What happens is that when these trees are very small as plants, their stems are guided in different shapes like chairs and other items, similar to threading a needle. As these plants grow, they take on those shapes. Once they are fully formed, they are dug up and taken out. This way, a tree is used one hundred percent without cutting it down. The lifespan of this naturally made furniture is around two to three hundred years, which makes it very expensive in the market.
