Motocross Action Magazine tests the 2021 Yamaha YZ450F out at Glen Helen Raceway. In 2020 the Yamaha YZ450F received a host of changes including a new engine and frame. For 2021 a large majority of the budget for Yamaha went to their all new 2021 YZ250F so that means the 450 sat in the shadows a bit for the new model year. Yamaha made relatively no new changes to the YZ450F for 2021. That isn't necessarily a bad thing as a lot of the 2021 450 models will be different and could drastically affect where they rank in the 2021 MXA 450 Shootout. Could the Yamaha slip in at the top? We have a long way ago until we get to that point.
