As of early Late November the SIM23 and SIM24 routes, currently running under Academy Bus, have been getting help from other garages that are under Academy due to a lack of operators in the Hoboken Lot, where the SIM23 and 24 are ran by. These MCI’s have been coming from the Leonardo Garage and because they don’t normally run on these routes they are free to ride as they have no farebox. All you have to do is show the driver your metro card and you’re all set.

As many of you may know the SIM23 and SIM24 routes are going to be shifted out of Academy and into MTA’s Charleston Bus Depot by January 2nd. Get your pictures and videos now as this is the last time we’ll ever get to see Academy Buses on these routes.

The buses in this video are 2017 and 2019 MCI’s. 2020 MCI’s have also been seen running on these routes but I have yet to catch one. Wish me luck!
