In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make Freddy Krueger’s glove, the famous movie prop from Nightmare on Elm Street. This glove is made from real metal and has sharp blades. There’s a link to free templates below so with this tutorial you can make your own Freddy Krueger’s glove! I made this pretty close to the original used in movie. The metal parts are copper and the blades are cheap saw blades. I used silver solder to attach the blades, the way it was done in the movies too.
This is a pretty simple diy project and the fun thing is that you don’t need worry about any dents or scratches. This is supposed to look a bit worn out. So it’s a nice diy project even for beginner, and a cool movie prop for cosplay or Halloween.
The original glove used in the movie is “Vintage Wells Lamont glove“, I got this “Wells Lamont Men's Cowhide Leather Work Gloves with Adjustable Wrist Strap” from Amazon.

Here's a list of the materials I used:
- Wells Lamont Men's Cowhide Leather Work Gloves with Adjustable Wrist Strap
- Copper plate 1,25 mm, I think that's 18 gauge in US. Check the templates to see how much you need (templates are in A4 format)
- Saw blades
- Silver solder sticks (and a blowtorch)
- Leather rivets, like the ones in the video which you can sqeeze/hammer together
- Roofing nails, for the handplate because I ran out of leather rivets
- Metal epoxy glue
