It was a pleasure to revisit this mountain! I hiked it solo back in 2021 and was rudely reminded how steep the first mile is 😅 This was Jarred's first time hiking Big Slide and it didn't disappoint!! 🥾 All the shades of green were impeccable 🤌
This hike has incredible views! 😍 This high peak's summit is in my top 10 for the most epic summit view of the ADK 46. There's a clear view of Hurricane, Giant, Dix, The Lower Great Range, Mt Marcy towering in the back, Mt Haystack, Algonquin, and more!!
This hike is usually done as a 9 mi out & back, but we did it as a 10 mi loop going up the Three Brothers & down the Phelps trail. It took us 6.5 hours to complete this hike with 5.5 hours of moving time!
